Research: Explored similar author websites, gathered inspiration and defined the desired functionality and style.
Conceptualization: Drafted design concepts and chose typography and color palette aligning with Sally Vardaman’s brand. Used ChatGPT to optimize SEO descriptions, then verified by aligning with best practices.
Development: Utilized Squarespace as the web platform, applied custom CSS to customize the design and integrated links to purchase her book, an events calendar, about page, and contact form.
Testing and Launch: Conducted testing, ensured responsive design across devices and launched the website.
Handoff: Reviewed with the client how she can maintain and update her own website in Squarespace, saving the client maintenance fees and expenses.
